Peter Morrell and his wife were delighted by the flavors and textures of their meals, as well as the friendly service at this cozy restaurant in West London. Japanese cuisine remains somewhat of a mystery to me, which makes dining at these establishments an exciting experience, knowing that I will encounter some wonderful culinary surprises. Recently, I visited Ukai (pronounced oo-kai, which means cormorant fishing)... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Ukai:
The place has a laid-back vibe, resembling a pub that has been transformed into a Japanese restaurant. The atmosphere and service are pleasant, but the food didn't quite meet my expectations. While I can't pinpoint any specific dish to complain about, I was hoping for better quality overall. View all feedback.

My colleagues and I headed there with high hopes for an exciting Friday lunch; we left after more than an hour, three quarters of which we spent with a rumbling stomach, as our hunger grew and most of...read more
