What Chuck White doesn't like about Sovana Bistro:
We have enjoyed this restaurant for some time, but quality has seemed to decline as the menu prices rise. The icing on the cake is charging a surcharge to use a credit card on a $200 bill. Low rent move. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–100 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.
We have always enjoyed this restaurant. The food quality and its flavor combinations are far beyond what anyone can expect. I believe this should be a Michelin Star restaurant. From the time you are welcomed in by the friendly staff to the moment you sit down for service, the entire dining experience is above and beyond what anyone can expect. The bartenders are extremely well-versed in anything that you like to have made to pair with your various courses. Many thanks Sovana family for your dedication to quality as well exceeding service expectations every time.
Can you make reserving a table any more unwelcoming??? Add that to the snobby staff and I won't be back.
Just had lunch at this great restaurant in Unionville. The place is surprisingly bigger inside than it appears from the outside. The service was Excellent. Our server, Matt, was knowledgeable, friendly and humorous. The choices were almost limitless and the presentation and taste were amazing. I had the express lunch with a tomato zucchini bisque soup a fresh salad with grapes, onions and nuts along with a half sandwich of pear, cheddar and bacon on seeded rye. This was followed by a blonde brownie chocolate mousse. Excellent. My wife had the Swiss chard ravioli with a garlic black butter sauce. Can’t say enough about this place. We will definitely return!
It is probably down to my personal taste, but the pasta I got here was not too good. The pork based sauce seemed to use pulled pork and had an Italian name, but nothing in the recipe could remind Italian food. Staff and place are not bad at all.
Went here for brunch. The chèvre was overcooked, to the point it was clumpy. The. The Nashville hot chicken sandwich was just a lightly breaded chicken sandwich. We asked where the flavor was and the waitress basically rolled her eyes. I’ve had the sandwich before and this was just embarrassing all around.
