For mushroom enthusiasts, Portabellos shines with a diverse menu, featuring standout dishes like the roasted mushroom soup and mushroom pizza. Diners rave about the delightful flavors and excellent service, particularly praising the attentive waitstaff and skilled bartenders. The ambiance often hits the mark, although some have noted discomfort due to temperature issues. While certain reviews lament overly seasoned or overpriced offerings, particularly with seafood, the overall sentiment leans positive, with many patrons experiencing delicious meals in a welcoming environment. Whether for a casual dinner or special occasion, Portabellos emerges as a notable dining destination.

Stopped by Portabellos after visiting Longwood Gardens. Would highly recommend stopping here for a nice dinner after walking around all day. We were seated very quickly, had great and very attentive service (our server David was very personable), andthe food was delicious! We ordered: Appetizers: Mushroom Soup (5/5) a must try! the soup was delicious with lots ofmushroom! Not too creamy like typical mushroom soups. Lobster Bisque (2/5) the only item I was disappointed with that wetried. Entrees: Beef Stroganoff (5/5) a must try, my favorite entire! The pasta was a very soft gnocchi that pairedperfectly with the beef. Orange Duck (4.75/5) perfectly cooked duck, would love to get this again. Also had a giganticportion. Veal Madeira (4/5) was very delicious, but my least fav out of the entrees. Dessert: Tiramisu (5/5) wow this wasamazing! Would 100% get this again next time. They have plenty of seating indoors and outdoors (with a few heaters). Although Iwould recommend calling ahead of time with a reservation because they do get quite busy!

Stopped in after seeing some good reviews. Terrible experience. From the cheap furniture and decor to the underwhelming and over priced food. Two entrees and one cocktail came to $80. A fried piece of veal swimming in sauce. Why fry a piece of meat to justmake it soggy with all that sauce? Then over cooked shellfish with unseasoned pasta sitting in tasteless broth. Mussels andclams so over cooked that they shrunk to half the size. Very bland and tasteless. Also ordered a cocktail (an old fashioned)which was served with soda ice in it. A sin if you know anything about cocktails. We arrived right at opening. We were the onlyones there so it should have been at least a halfway decent experience. No culinary brain here. Avoid.
