Always love this place, great service and food. We had falafel with chips and flatbread and also baked salmon. That falafel was so beautiful. And of course great Guinness! View all feedback.
What User dislikes about P.f. Mccarthy's:
Nice pub, friendly staff and good live music when we visited. However, very lax approach to mask-wearing, and staff didnt seem to be able to enforce this with customers, which was disappointing. View all feedback.

We went here for some quality pub food and were not disappointed. On the contrary; the steak sandwich was delicious. Very friendly staff who let me try some on-tap beers before buying. We will go here again this week and try fish-and-chips and chicken wings.
Very nice ambiance and absolutely delicious food! The meatloaf was amazing (I'll be thinking of that creamy pepper gravy) and the portion was super generous for one person (my husband had the potato cake starter and helped me). Friendly staff, food came fast, decent prices, and right in the town center. Highly recommend!
The restaurant, located in a charming small town along the Ring of Kerry, offers a mix of delightful experiences. While the staff may struggle with language barriers due to a large international clientele, the friendly service is universally praised. The menu is varied and the food is described as delicious, though some experiences with hot drinks and sides may vary. Live music, good beer, and a warm atmosphere add to the appeal of this cozy establishment, making it a recommendable spot for locals and tourists alike. Despite some minor hiccups, it seems the restaurant's unique charm wins over most visitors.

Best pub in Kenmare, gutted that it's closed for renovations! Potato cake is unreal, and staff are always so friendly and accommodating. Hope it is much the same when it reopens.
Had the hake it was on special, pan fried with mash green beans and a lovely sauce 19 euro my wife had a toastie with chips . From time we ordered to it on the table in front of us was 35 mins. But it was all hot , just felt it could have been quicker.
Good food, great burgers (except the salmon one), extremely nice staff!
Came back a second time in 5 days. Dishes are a little different than standard Irish fare. All dishes were great.
Hearty, good dishes with good products. It's homemade. Fast and very friendly service. A very good address!

Gluten free bread options and the bread is like an everything bagel! So yummy! And menu is marked but do ask questions because the waiter said there are errors on the menu. Service was great! Fun place with yummy food. And the fries (chips) are gluten free!!!
Very limited ordered gluten free fish n chips as listed on the menu but I always double check and waitress said its not gluten free! Had the chowder it was nice snd staff lovely but wouldn't be rushing back
Lovely gluten free lunch including gluten free chips. Allergens marked on the menu. Server double checked with the chef that my salad was gluten free.

Amazing service food. Best lunch in Ireland! Tried the Boobati (South African dish) which was great! Hamburger was also amazing! Must visit if near Kenmare or after Gap of Dunloe.

Visited this pub today. Our waitress, Andrea was so helpful with me while I ordered. Having Celiac, she helped me with my selection. I had the chicken wings, fries, and a wonderful gluten free beer (Peroni). I haven’t had a gluten free beer back home for 10 years that I enjoyed. Great Pub!
We visited this pub two times both experiences were excellent and we felt really confident that our daughter was eating gluten free and delicious food. The staff were very attentive. The only critisism I'd have is that none of the desserts were gluten free except the ice cream.
Excellent GF dinner. GF chips and beer as well as the bread. I’m celiac I would go here again and I would recommend it.
