What User doesn't like about Tokyo 1 Asian Buffet & Bar:
$38 All-you-can-eat as you all know is for big eaters and probably not really take care of food quality. Diversity is really good. Last time, the Tempoura battery on shrimps was very thick. I've tried Japanese all-you-can-eat restaurants in Vancouver and Richmond, and they're... better than this Tokyo 1 in terms of food quality. I was here a few times and quality is different every time. Service is fast, but servers always have no kindness.
We went to this establishment for lunch. Once you enter, you are offered an i-pad to place your order, which is a unique concept. However, at the same time the guest seems to become a number...the service is nonpersonal. We were told that the servings are small- and that is fine. We did not expect that a "Mango Salad" consisted of three small slivers of mango with a sweetish sauce, nor did we expect that the seaweed salad was about one heaped teaspoon of seaweed in a mini dish. The sunomono salad was consisting of a teaspoon full of rice noodles, one cucumber slice and one shrimp, and it was watery and tasteless. The teriyaki chicken tasted fine. We also had a vegetable red curry, which turned out to be another minuscule portion. Even though this is an "all you can eat" lunch, which they call a "buffet", it is not a buffet at all, as you have to order what you wish to have from the menu. The helpings are not even starter sizes, but rather micro- servings that would be fit for a tasting party. ( This said, we are not huge eaters that expect large portions.) We had a discount coupon and paid close to $40. For this it was worth a try. Maybe sushi lovers find their fix at this place, but we don't plan to return.

They offer a senior discount, and the staff are very fast and helpful. Dinner has an expanded selection as well as menu meals. Good parking, and located off Enterprise behind the McDonalds on Hwy 97 by the Orchard Park Mall. This is great for those with a limited lunch period, or that want to try all kinds of Japanese flavors. An excellent value, and it is spacious enough for groups.
Well it was the first time here. Waiter was great to explain ordering. I was sitting right beside sushi bar. 2 sushi makers behind counter. One sushi maker was running his hands through his hair and scratching his head. When the waiter went by me I said " I sure hope he washes his hands before making sushi". The waiter said "I'm sure he will." The waiter spoke with the other workers in another language at the end of the sushi bar. My order came up and it was made by the man that had his hands in his hair. I started to eat the sushi and then the sushi maker who made my order came to the end of the bar where I was sitting and washed his hands in front of me. Which means he DID NOT wash his hands before making my sushi. DISGUSTING ! I will never eat there again and I never touched the rest of my food.
Great service, fast, newer restaurant, great selection for lunch. You can choose to pay more and get the dinner - which will give you sashimi and short ribs:)
This place has an awesome menu and the food is always fantastic. If you come by at lunch its a really cheap all you can eat experience with tons of different foods well worth your dollars. Huge menu and great service!
