What Elmira Hegmann doesn't like about Nana Da's:
I've been here a few times before and I have absolutely loved how this cafe has a homely feel to it, and how the staff are so friendly. I was disappointed today though when a few friends and I went over for lunch.. We got there around 1.50 asked for the menu which literally had only 2 meal options, so we asked for the breakfast menu but then the staff member said the kitchen closes at 2... Um I'm pretty sure we had 1... View all feedback.
Cute little shack from outside, elegant and cosy inside. Food is perfectly cooked and nicely presented. Great for relaxing brunch
A friend recommended we check this outfit out. To be fair we also wanted to check out his recommendations to determine if we could trust them in the future. Like movie reviewers isn’t it? Once you find one on the same page as yourself you...can avoid some angst. (But the con is you limit yourself to a range so have lots of friends.... . Anyway, off we toddled early(ish on Sunday morning after first checking if we needed to make a reservation. “Yes” and “no”. There were empty tables but it filled up pretty quickly after we arrived. Good on street parking and a quiet road. Might be a bit difficult getting there if you come in from the north so check the gps. Pretty place, well appointed in an eclectic manner. Nice young polite helpful staff. Good range of mostly standard breakfast fare nicely presented, good size and tasty. Coffee was good. Average prices. Another place to go back to and take our friends. Worth a visit.
My friend and I stumbled along here when looking for another cafe, and we are so happy we did. The staff were so incredibly friendly, we went for breakfast and were impressed that it wasn 't necessarily the 'typical ' breakfast cafe options. The inside and outside...are so cute and quirky so we will definitely be back.
I love the cafes trading out of old corner stores.Another of these is nanna and da's in Stafford just off Gympie Rd.Decorated with a lot of the stuff I remember from my childhood,it takes us back to much simpler times.Coffees good and you choose from...a quaint menu printed from old hand written recipe books.Nothing outrageous here just tried and true favourites cooked well and presented by cheerful staff.Recommended.
Nice cute place. Personally I won't go again as the breakfast menu is extremely limited and due to the size of the place it was very nosey.
