Fuku Sushi - Kaysville

I was pleasantly surprised how good this place was after my horrible experience with the previous restaurant here. The decor has been updated and it smelled clean. I had the spicy beef and teriyaki chicken combo and it was really good, we also had the samurai roll which was fresh. The fried banana dessert that comes with the combo was good. Is it the best sushi I have ever had? Nope, but it is right up there with the best around Davis County and we will be back.

Finally!!! We moved to Utah 3 years ago and tried every Chinese restaurant between SLC and Ogden and couldn’t find anything that we enjoyed until now. So happy this place has opened. The food is excellent, the owner is extremely friendly and the place looks nice and clean. We will be back often

This restaurant is decent in my opinion and during the experience I had here. The majority of the sushi options are tempura based and the rolls with fresh fish the fish is sliced very thin and stuffed heavy with artificial crab. The nigiri and sashimi options are few. This is very common with discount sushi restaurants. They do not serve any alcohol. The service was indifferent; not impolite but not friendly.

Service was okay. I got the feeling the guy didn't want people in the restaurant. (Covid? He did bring my food to my car, which was nice. I got sesame chicken and it was mostly batter and not that flavorable. It was very hot and came out quick. The egg drop soup, that I didn't even know I was going to get with the meal, was good. There was a ton of food for the price. I just didn't care for it.

The Miso soup had great flavor. I made the mistake of ordering three sushi rolls...had to bring enough home for another meal. The Crunch Roll was very nice. The other two were both deep fried and tasty. Not a sushi expert, but I loved the squeeze on top of the rolls. Service was kind and attentive.
