Server may have been new but was overwhelmed to say the least. Had to ask for water. Never offered. None of her tables had refills nor were any of the tables prebussed. Had to ask for everything, to order, more drinks, plates, silverware, Togo boxes. Saturday night. Bar area table. Manager came to the table and didn't notice that we had no drinks? What Kayla Soto doesn't like about Abuelo's Mexican:
First time here, and the service was excellent! Unfortunately, the food quality was disappointing. We ordered the quesadilla, which was excessively covered in cheese to the point that the tortilla was barely visible. Additionally, the beans on our plates appeared dry and crusty, as if they had been reheated or were old. The taco salad also had too much cheese, and I did not enjoy the seasoning in the ground beef. Enjoyed the food and very courteous and cheerful team. Enchiladas plate is big, enough for two to even kind of 3, but the fajitas for two was kind of two normal buddies not two greedy ones! Enjoyed our weekend night, they really went above and beyond. Update Jan 2024: Food and staff are still very good and as I expected, the only thing I was not expecting was that they did not serve carne asada! Service is still good.
Young server.... very well trained. Staff was amazing food dang good. Highly recommended this location.

The restaurant wasn't full yet it took a loooong time from ordering to receiving our food. Thankfully the food was great. The frozen strawberry margaritas were tasty!
