Shirohotaru Kitchen - Karuizawa

Was already a few times in this restaurant. eating is delicious. the employees do not speak English, but they are friendly and there are pictures, so it is easy to communicate. the prices are reasonable. we like the burgers with potato salad in them. the parts are not very large, but usual for japan.

It is located in a corner of hocchi ichiba, from a dame of tofu manufacturer. very tasty! Definitiw one must go when they are around the opposite and a tofu lover! especially the Tofu salad was amazing with wasabi dressing. premium tofu drink, also very creamy and beautiful. updated by previous review on 2021-10-04

The restaurant is quite small, so there isn't much seating available. However, since it was just my husband and me, we were able to order some food and sit by the window. The atmosphere was very cozy on a winter day. We enjoyed everything we ordered, but the potage with bread was especially delicious.

The ganmo burger set was pretty good, though we found ourselves still hungry by the end of it. The unnecessary amount of plastic was also a bit of a letdown.

We have visited this restaurant multiple times now. The food is tasty. The staff may not speak English, but they are accommodating and there are pictures to help with communication. The prices are fair. We particularly enjoy the burgers with potato salad. The portions are not very big, but that seems to be typical in Japan.
