We were yesterday, 06.06.2018 in Oushii. I spent our wedding day with my wife for dinner. We can only say that we are happy to come back at any time. The staff was very friendly and helpful as we announced in the beginning to be here for the first time. The order with tablet was strange to us but would be explained to us so that we can order our drinks and our first round easily. The food was delicious and hot. Simpl... View all feedback.
What Rosalinde Opitz doesn't like about Oishii:
Really bad service! The waiter rudely asked us leave after 2.5 h even though we booked the table before and they didn't inform us about this time-limted rule. After I asked them to show me this rule on their website, the manager asked me to...give in and told me they would have charged us 2€ per teller for the tellers we hadn't finished yet! Actually we had planned to congratulate a friend for some good news, but the... View all feedback.
This restaurant offers a very nice concept for Japanese food. All orders are placed via iPad and certain amount of rounds. Each round you could order 10 different items of the menu (limit for two persons). The food is really good and the service is...fast as well. It's a good address for sushi in Karlsruhe.
I've been here a lot with friends and with my kids (ages 1 3). I personally love sushi, and their sushi is good, but they also have a very large selection of other foods which are either cooked or at least not fish. So...if someone in your party doesn't like fish or sushi, they will still be just fine here, and won't feel left out. During lunch and dinner it can get crowded, but normally we can bring strollers and kids here with no problem. I can't remember if there is a changing table or not. Service is pretty good.
Never, ever again. I had reserved a table for 15 people to take colleagues and clients there. We had arranged to pay on invoice and called 2 hours before arrival again to make sure this was acknowledged and accepted. Upon arrival the waiter told me...that they had changed their minds and would only take ec-card or cash, because they had had bad experiences 2 years ago (not with me!! . My guests had already taken their seats, so to avoid a big scene I politely hinted out that this had been agreed with management. He went to the office and came back with a middle aged woman who immediately started to shout angrily in Japanese to my guests. We were in shock, I 've never experienced anything similar. I was about to spend around 900€ that evening and screaming at your paying guests for sure cannot be called a usual Japanese tradition! As the woman wouldn 't stop and kept shouting and hollering, we left the restaurant and headed for a place where guests are more welcome. I 've been around a while and dined at weird places, but this one was definitely the most hostile environment.
We visited this place as a family in May 2022 on a Saturday. The food is nice and fresh the variety of foods at lunch or a dinner are different. dinner menu is more expensive but the variety of food is more. Staff are friendly...and food is ordered via an iPad. Depending on how busy the restaurant is it could take long or short to be served, however the delicious sushi is worth it. The only very disturbing point was the price of drinks. We found it outrageous that for a bottle of sparkling or still water 6,50 Euro Was charged, something that not even in an expensive 5 star hotel has happened to us before, to be charged for water so much money.
We went ther on a hliday and because we were only two persons were lucky to get a seat. So you better make a reservation. The food is alright and served quickly but it's not as tasty as it should be! :
