We were pleasantly surprised by how good it was! Although the restaurant was busy, we were able to get in and out quickly, and he made it just in time for our show. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Tavernonna Italian Kitchen:
Meh at best! I figured it would be good looking at the menu online however the menu at the restaurant was small in comparison so not many choices at all. Definitely no kid choices. For the money it was not a good value and we all left our food behind as it was not good enough to take with. The waitress was inattentive and left our drinks empty. Had to ask for more water as she dropped off our food and left without ch... View all feedback.
This place is fantastic. very intimate and we are decorated. I didn't feel it was unhappy. the drinks are mixed professionally, and the authentic Italian is not what they would expect. our food was perfectly cooked, well plated and delicious. the aromen paired in each court compliment each other and improve their meal. the waiting staff was a perfect balance of professional and friendly. it was refreshing to have a meal with unique ingredients that I could not just whip up at home. the portion size was perfect, and dessert was amazing! that's not a place where I'd take my children, but it was perfect for a night.
Great location, close to the Marriott downtown, if your looking for great made to order Urban Italian food this is the place. Small menu, high quality ingredients. Will definitely visit this restaurant next time I'm in KC thanks to the chef and staff for a wonderful relaxing experience.
I was staying upstairs at the hotel and wanted takeout. Put in an order for spaghetti and meatballs, didn't have high expectations. They delivered. Nicely cooked pasta, great sauce with extra garlic and a tender meatball. Dish comes with one meatball so I did order an extra. Definitely pricey, but it is a hotel restaurant and I had a hotel credit to cover the bill :
House made pastas with a seasonal menu and farm to table ingredients. Yum. The cheese board appetizer is generous and reasonably priced. Actually the entire menu is pretty reasonable. The atmosphere is quiet and cool and the food hits the spot. The complimentary focaccia bread is like a warm soft pillow, so good!
Food was good. Whiskey drinks : Sat at the bar enjoyed it.
