Manta - KAMUELA

That was an absolute surprise. The restaurant is located on a Marriott Resort. You have to pass a guard gate that gets into the property. If you are not a guest, do not worry about the open table and make a reservation of 8pm. My wife and I were in the restaurant early to see the sunset at 7 p.m. what was amazing. We checked in, changed the beautiful grounds and made a drink at the bar. The staff sat for dinner at 1945. Food was absolutely amazing. Extremely delicious. I have food allergies and thought it would affect my order, but no kitchen was able to me a perfect dish of the special catch of the day Hawaiian Sea Bass, which was excellent. For two a three-course dinner with two drinks was under $300 much better than some of the other sunset restaurants in the area. A plus to this restaurant are the Manta, which you can see from a viewpoint. All in all a fantastic experience.

An amazing restaurant with phenomenal views, service and most importantly, food. You'll need a reservation and it's pricier than other restaurants in the area but worth it for the views and the Manta viewing after sunset. (The Manta viewing is free, you don't actually need to pay for it). Our server was one of the best servers I've had at any restaurant ever. And the New York steak was the most tender steak I've had. It's sourced from the ranches right there on the Big Island. Extremely juicy and full of flavour.

It is good but not excellent. It is supposed to be upscale but it is good. Service is 7 out of 10. Menu is 7 out of 10. Location and the view save the general rating score. Location is 9 out of 10. The view is 10 out of 10.

The service was excellent and the food was great. We celebrated an anniversary and they helped make it so special. Access to the beach is wonderful and makes a great walk before dinner. The bar is well equipped and supported by a miracle worker. The only knock I would give was specific to us. With a private dinner service and people run rudely through our area. I say, please block the sides on the terrace to avoid these rude interruptions to an otherwise excellent experience.

The food and the atmosphere here are great!! It is nostalgic with the beautiful jazz music game and classical architecture. The food and service are great, all here were friendly. Great location with sea view. The sunsets are best here. Your signature dishes have a small orange manta next to them!!
