First visit to this restaurant.We went at lunch time and it was basically empty. Powwow weekend.We both had an Indian Taco, huge portion. and the bannock was great.Good service and we didn't have to wait for our meal for very long.Next time in Kamloops will definitely go again and try something else.Beautiful bead work and artifacts.in the display cabinet by the door, intersting Tshirts for sale.Canadian not American... What User doesn't like about painted pony cafe:
went in for a coffee and maybe something light while I waited for an appointment, the menu looked amazing and the food that was served to a couple looked so good, so I just ordered some bannock it was over deep fried on the outside and uncooked doe on the inside, not impressed, I was going to take the ladies here for lunch this week but I will now pass, View all feedback.
The food was amazing, the service was excellent, the decor was wonderful, and the atmosphere was very peaceful. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to others.
Where else can you get a deer steak for breakfast? I was excited to hear about this place and was looking forward to it all morning, was not disappointed. Will be back for other game meats when I have the chance. So glad to have found the Painted Pony!

I thoroughly enjoyed my breakfast of perfectly cooked elk steak with rice at the restaurant. Every part of my meal was delicious.
Such nice people! I have a horrifying amount of allergies and they were really helpful in accommodating me. Still alive, and it was tasty, so that's about as good as it can get
