Taverna Argo - Kalamata

Fantastic home-made food, great service, very fair prices, big portions. One of the best places I visited in Peloponnese region.

We had such a wonderful evening at this adorable restaurant by the sea. The food there is typically Greek (moussaka, tzatziki, grilled peppers stuffed with saganaki and grilled octopus) and extremely tasty. We were taken care of by the nicest of waiters who does his very best to communicate and make us feel welcome. We were even lucky enough to be given some fresh olives and cherries, on the house. I could not recommend this lovely place enough

You HAVE TO give this place a try! Don't be fooled by the unassumingly low key appearance of this traditional Greek taverna restaurant. They are just the best!! Have been visiting Argo for the last 20 years and everything has stayed the same (and I say that in the nicest way possible)! Food quality is top notch!! Everything is freshly prepared, portions are generous to say the least and excellent value for money. Service is friendly and attentive. I could go on and on but the bottom line is... Eat there!

You must eat here. The food is very good. The waiter is brilliant. A perfect night.
