Hot bar is not always fresh and almost everything has bell peppers. Nobody seems to care to make one hot plate without bell peppers...

I had an amazing smoothie! The staff there were very kind and helpful. The store was, also, neat and organized.

Popped in for a quick lunch because I was curious what this store was like. I have passed it so many times but never put my head in the door. I managed to park right outside which was a plus as they don't have too many parking places for a supermarket. The store is well laid out and has a large range of vegan products, many I hadn't seen before, and quite a few I want to try. I chose a few items from the serve yourself hot bar and they were all OK, a little sweet for my liking, and all a little soft in texture. The chilli was good, the mushroom tofu noodles nice. None of it had much depth or savoury flavour. I went upstairs to their seating area and this is why I removed a star. It was dirty. Plain and simple. Dirty tables and floor. Flies crawling on the dirty windows. The walls were filthy. It was decidedly grubby and in need of repainting and cleaning. Very off putting : I don't think I will eat anything here again because of this, but I will purchase goods from the store as they had a great selection. However they are very expensive so it won't be on a regular basis. I prefer Wholefoods as they are cleaner and cheaper. I know Down to Earth carries a lot of local goods and Wholefoods is corporate but the price point and cleanliness is a huge factor for me.
