The dining experience at this restaurant in Julian was probably the best. The staff put in their best effort, but the service was a bit slow. However, the food made up for it. The burger was amazing and the fries were crispy and tasty. The chicken soup was more like a stew filled with noodles rather than a traditional broth, but my friend really enjoyed it. What User doesn't like about Julian Grille:
I really enjoy the atmosphere of this restaurant. It is inviting and peaceful. There are options to sit indoors or outdoors. We visited on a late Saturday afternoon and the restaurant wasn't crowded, so we were seated right away. Eager to try the food, we began with a bowl of white bean soup. Unfortunately, the soup tasted awful, like someone had poured a salt bag into it. We decided to cancel the rest of our order a... View all feedback.
If you want to do something different than visiting the usual gaslamp, little italy, north park or going to some of the beaches, this is a great place to visit. julian is a beautiful minenstadt on the side of the mountain in san diego county and has many different activities offer. we found this place in julian to eat lunch, it was a great experience overall. eating is good with a homemade note that is always good for me because it makes unique. the place is clean and the service is excellent. I had the pork ribs and was really good, the salat, the fries also well. The dressing apple pecan vinaigrette was delicious to accompany the salat and the berries a la mode with ice was excellent. I recommend this place when they visit julian, there were other places quite busy, and this was great and come and go with availability and fluid visitor.
We made reservations for 5:00 PM and we were seated promptly. Excellent table overlooking the front Garden. Even though the place was packed by 5:30, the service was excellent. We choose the Steak and Lobster dinner special. Large Portions and the Steak and Lobster were cooked exactly the way we ordered. We overheard a few couples saying they came here every year from out of town. I know why.
Great and calm atmosphere. The food was exquisite. Everything was tasty. The chocolate cake is a must. Average price is about $25, but the food portions are more than decent size.
Quaint, cute place. Service was good. The salad with the balsamic/apple dressing was good. The other food we ordered was garbage. The apple pie tasted like it was fermenting and the ice cream tasted really old... you know how ice cream tastes after it's been in the freezer 6 months....
Cheese burger was very good with fries. Wife and friend had salmon salad which was also very good. The covered outdoor patio was very comfortable and service was very good.
