Visiting Johnstown to see relatives, my brother told me the The Lounge Cafe featured some amazing sandwiches. He was right! I have eaten there twice on this visit and am more than pleased with the food. Spiced perfectly, cooked to perfection, and prepared at a reasonable time. Well done! View all feedback.
This is a hidden gem in Johnstown, found fortuitously online. First, we were pleasantly surprised when we entered this cafe to find a welcoming, clean and modern setting. The menu is limited in size but not in flavors. There is a very nice selection of sandwiches, empanadas and on Tuesday and Saturday relleno de papa (a potato croquet). Having been my first visit, I tried a standard....The Cuban sandwich. The proportion of pork, ham cheese and pickle were perfect. Nicely seasoned and very filling. The chef makes a home-made hot sauce that was amazing. A side of black beans and rice rounded this lunch out perfectly! Overall, service was excellent, the food was excellent and the value was excellent. I have had cuban food in Miami and this was way up to par! REAL taste of Cuba. 2 thumbs way up!! So happy to have this place in town.
Haven't been there, yet, so I did give you 5 stars because why not? I was reading your menu, a few were left on my mailbox, it's lettuce not lettus

Hot food…chill atmosphere. Steak sandwich was on point! This place is a hidden gem.
Always come back for their Cuban coffee. Their breakfast sandwiches are amazing their low cost is just a bonus. Always worth it!
