What Juhi Shah doesn't like about Masala Cafe:
We recently placed an order from this restaurant through Grubhub, but unfortunately, our experience was less than satisfactory. We tried the Egg Kothu Parotta, and it arrived quite soggy and lacking in taste, which was disappointing. In terms of vegetarian curries, we ordered the Paneer Chettinad, but the paneer had a rubbery texture, and the gravy was overly spiced with masala. We also tried the Malai Kofta, which was... View all feedback.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Masala Cafe, an Indian culinary gem that exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and an inviting ambiance. The menu offered a delightful array of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavors that transported me straight to the heart of India. I started with the samosas, which were perfectly crispy on the outside and filled with a mouthwatering blend of spices and vegetables. For the main course, I couldn't resist the butter chicken, a creamy and rich dish that was simply divine. The naan bread was fluffy and complemented the curry beautifully. My dining companion opted for the vegetable biryani, and we were both blown away by the aromatic blend of spices and perfectly cooked rice. What truly set Masala Cafe apart was the attention to detail and the commitment to traditional cooking methods. It was evident that the chefs take great pride in their craft, and it shines through in every dish.To top it all off, the dessert menu offered a delightful selection of Indian sweets. The gulab jamun was a sweet and syrupy indulgence that left a lasting impression. The service was impeccable, with the staff being knowledgeable and attentive, making our dining experience truly memorable. I can't wait to return for another culinary journey through India's diverse and delicious cuisine. It's a hidden gem that every food enthusiast should discover and savor.
Some friends and I stopped here to eat after seeing reviews on yelp. And I haven't had a lot of Indian food in the past, so I just ordered something randomly. Everyone loved their dish. The staff was really friendly and a place just had a real nice peaceful vibe. Oh and it was my First time to try masala tea. Wonderful flavor!
This was a great choice for South Indian food. The egg biryani was full of warm spices and had just the right level of heat. The vada had great texture, and the sambar was also seasoned well. The portions are quite large. This is a solid choice in Jersey City.
This is a pure gem, if you are looking for authentic chettinad cuisine in and around jersey city, this is the place. They have great variety of item from vegetarian to mutton to seafood. The spices and flavours are extremely authentic and lives up to the name.We ordered,1. Filter Coffee Must try2. Chennai style Chicken curry with Parota This is a Lip smacking combination, the portion size and quantity is perfect.3. Chicken Murtaba This is basically Baida Roti or Mughlai Paratha from south and it does absolutely does justice with its flavour and preparation.4. Idle Vada Combo Classic dishOverall, loved each and every dishes tried, would highly recommend.
