I was at this facility twice. The first time was a Sunday afternoon and the place was packed. The second time was on Tuesday at 2:00 and it was quite empty. If you go during peak hours, parking can be a challenge and you can have to wait for a table. I sat outside on my second visit and was greeted by a passerby. No matter when or day, the food was really good. This could simply be one of my favorite places to eat on... View all feedback.
What Christopher Browning doesn't like about Uptown Kitchen And:
The service and speed was significantly better than it used to be several years ago, but the flavorless eggs and burnt bacon were a shame. The chicken and waffles, pancakes, and french toast were good, but I have a hard time when a place can't make decent eggs or bacon. View all feedback.
This brunch and dine-in experience was Beautiful Our Server, Nae, treated us well.
This was my second time visiting and I brought a new group of friends. We enjoyed everything! Last time I came at 10 and there was quite a wait (it was well worth it). This time we got there at 9 and the 5 of us were seated right away and we found parking right behind the restaurant. So arriving earlier on Sunday did pay off! In addition to their regular menu they do serve various daily specials. That day they had the lobster omelette which my friend said was moist and yummy. They also had salmon and grits which was very flavorful. Also the fish and shrimp croquettes were perfect packet with flavor and the perfect amount of crunch and moisture! I love this breakfast place! I’m from atl but when I’m in town this is my Sunday brunch spot! They also have $20 mimosa buckets which include a bottle of champagne, orange juice, cranberry juice, strawberry syrup, and peach syrup that you can add yourself. The chef also comes around and checks on all the guests to make sure we are satisfied with our orders which is so nice! If you have not come here, what are you waiting for? Come eat and fill your bellies with some prime eat!
First if you haven’t been here don’t think twice. You must go. The food was so good haven’t had food that so fresh and favorable as this place. The service was excellent. I do suggest going early on the weekend. This place is good and people know it. So it’s a crowded at times. If I could would give this place 10 stars. And I will be back once I travel into Jacksonville again.
The food was decent but I believe the kitchen was swamped. I really liked the drink menu which had a different selection of things you can have in the morning, including multiple options for mimosas. Our waitress was awesome. The only thing I wish is that a food was better.
Visited Jacksonville and heard about this place. The wait was crazy on December 31st. 1.5 hours at 11:30. We waited and it was good. It was one of the busiest weekends of the year that they ran out of Oxtails. Oh, I was disappointed. Our waiter recommended the shrimps and grits with a piece of salmon! The taste was amazing and the Gouda sauces were on point. I would definitely recommend this place if you are in the Jax Area.
