The restaurant offers a wide variety of dishes on their menu, although their drink options are limited. The prices are quite reasonable and the portion sizes are good. During our visit, the outdoor seating area was closed due to construction and parking was limited. The restaurant is a bit off the beaten path, so be prepared to drive carefully to locate it! What User doesn't like about Pescaderia:
Stacey waited for a table for 30 people at the restaurant. Lee informed her that we were going to be seated soon. The restaurant operated on a first-come, first-served basis for placing orders, but this system would not have been practical given the size of their group. View all feedback.
This place is terrible. I usually don't write reviews, but that wasn't disappointing! they still have a big tent front so they can't sit in the restaurant or see the water, the bathroom are literally Port-a pots because they won't let them in. the hostess could not be disturbed, our server was terrible. she said three things to us all the time: “What do you want to drink?” “are they ready to order?” and “thank you” when she has returned the leak so that I could sign. She didn't even say hi, and acted like she'd rather be somewhere else. I've been a server for many years and it took a lot for me to leave a little less than 20% drinking money, but I just couldn't do it this time. if all this was not bad enough, the food was sub par. if that had been amazing, I might have overlooked the other things, but unfortunately the entire $70 experience was sucked and was a huge waste of money.
I have been wanting to return here for a while. I drove about 60 miles round trip. I didn't know I was going to have to sit under a white plastic tent with no fans that of course you couldn't see the water. I had the 3 combo , shrimp, oyster and clams.. Although no seasoning at all, the oyster and shrimp were good but the clams were not and they were all crammed on a small plate which made them soggy. The waitress was very pleasant and gave very good service. I gave them poor instead of average because of the clams, no seasoning and soggy.
I've learned to read the restaurant reports more closely. I seriously don't understand what's to like about this place as a restaurant'. It's on a cool spot of the river, and it's probably okay to hang out and grab a few beers, but that's it. It must be an awful place to work, since the servers seemed genuinely stressed and unhappy to be there. Food tasted like it came out of a box, and had an aftertaste. I guess maybe they don't intend to have repeat customers; just grab some dollars from people before they continue the drive down A1A.
Arrived in the dark and was surprised to see that it is basically some large tents around tables. They had very good lighting and heaters all around, so I never felt cold. The server was top notch and my son and I split a bucket of various seafood that was very good. The tent did keep any scenic water views away, but it was dark anyway. The only thing that dropped it a star was as a previous commenter mentioned, there were a lot of cats in the area and moving around the outside area near the kitchen. Wish something could be done about that, but otherwise pleased.
Large, excellent quality, well-seasoned peel and eat shrimp at $22 per pound. No waiting and fast, efficient service.
