The food is always delicious when we go. They have THE BEST chicken Alfredo. It's better than Olive Garden or any other Italian restaurant or steak house you can think of. The service is hit and miss sometimes, but there is one gentleman that usually waits on us and he is always friendly, has a great memory and is very attentive (we didn't get him this last time and he was definitely missed). Great customer service food was good but not hot enough.I had problem with cleanliness of the restaurant, bathroom was dirty, floors sticky, dirty mirror, doors entrance were dirty, No free hush puppies when waiting for food. UPDATE: after visiting this place again with the in-laws for thanksgiving this year. I have decided to change my review from 3 to 5 stars. I was extremely appreciative of the fact that staff permitted me to come in with my fur baby. We wanted to have her with us and were beyond relieved that they could make the arrangement for the holiday. My waitress (I forgot her name was absolutely amazing and friendly. Thank you for the great food and time! I plan on visiting more often. : This past valentines day, my husband and I decided to eat here.. The wait was 40 minutes and we did not have an issue with that; its a busy holiday. The problem we had was when the hostess sat a family that had just walked in when we waited our time and were next to be seated. Let alone she walked each party to their table yet pointed us to ours? Then she acted as though nothing happened when I commented on the situation. Don't want to throw a race card but we are cuban and we're definitely treated differently. Thankfully our waitress had no issue serving us, drinks were worth the price, and the food was delicious. We did wait some time for the bill to come but I didn't mind it. My wife and I have lived in jacksonvile forever and never really paid attention to the Marina Cafe. We finally went and let me tell you... amazing!! The food was freash and delicious. Our waitress was the best we ever had. She helped us with choosing our meal. Everything he recommended was on point. I had the seafood platter, and my wife had the Mahi Mahi. For dessert, we had a chocolate pie. They also have a little entertainment section with a billard talbe a dart board, and more. We had so much fun that night, you best believe we will be returning
Great friendly service. Food was delicious. Ate out back by the waterfront.
