My family and I had an awesome time at Char in Jackson,MS! The ribeye steaks were cooked to perfection by.Ross, and I mean melt in your mouth delicious. What John Alhelm doesn't like about Char:
The service was great. I sat at the bar and the bartender was super nice and seemed really happy to be there. The food on the other hand was not that good. I started with their “award winning” gumbo which was cold. I’m guessing they added cold white rice to the warm gumbo which made the entire dish cold. We had a delightful Father’s Day dinner on Sunday evening. Our meals were all perfect and the service was top-notch! Thank you to our fantastic server, Heather and all the Char staff!
I have to say Char is my favorite place to come to at the end of the day. Best place for me to just relax and try and free my mind from everything in this chaotic world. And the shrimp bisque? Excellent.
Cannot go wrong with eating here. Lunch is reasonable. Staff is knowledgeable. Full bar so you can get real drinks. Ok for family but older kids would be better
Great short rib on Tuesday. The creamed spinach is also very good. Very attentive service. One of the better restraunt in Jackson. Def should give this restraunt a try
Best crab cakes I have ever tried- I especially love how the side greens are seasoned to compliment the dish. My favorite butter crunch cake and pecan pie are absolute heaven. Great food great service. Try it.
