Contribute FeedbackLa Ruana Paisa offers a vibrant taste of Colombian cuisine, boasting an extensive menu that includes hearty bandeja paisa and delightful appetizers. Guests rave about flavorful dishes like chicharrón con guacamole, making it a must-visit for food enthusiasts. While the staff’s friendliness shines through, service inconsistencies have been noted during peak hours, impacting the dining experience. The atmosphere, enhanced by lively music, can be quite loud, but the overall ambiance remains inviting. La Ruana Paisa is a delightful destination for anyone seeking an authentic Colombian culinary adventure, with plenty of options for both newcomers and seasoned fans.
Typical Colombian recorders. La Ruana Paisa is a pleasant restaurant to cook food to remember the homeland. The menu is extensive. Breakfast is served all day. You have Pollo A La Brasa. The required Colombian bandeja plates appear on the menu, two hearty grilled meat versions that are described as everything, but the sink, a chicken and a fish bandeja. There is a set daily soup of the day lunch special, which is a choice between two soups on a selected day of the week. Be warned that the Wednesday Sancocho de costilla offers beef short ribs, not pork ribs, and that it does not boil pressure or soften to tender. Saturday brings Sancocho de cola (oxtails), which also require a similar treatment. If you chew vigorously is not your thing, you were informed. La Ruana Paisa has a wine and beer license. They're doing Sangria. The soft drinks include Colombian sodas, aguapanela, lemonade and coffee. I suggest that your dessert is figs with cheese and a cup of coffee. Flan, tres leches cake, ice cream and rice pudding can also be your choice.
Your bandeja paisa is great! Without her bandeja paisa I would give them a 3 star rating. I would not recommend her alcoholic drinks, as I tried a few days and was disappointed, not worth it that you are better to get a natural juice from them. I would also not recommend her entraña, which was a leaving and her churrasco. I also heard that they automatically include tip, regardless of how many restaurants I personally do not agree with. However, their staff is amazing and beautiful!
I came with a group of 4. Two of them are Colombian, so it was very helpful in ordering because it did not seem like the waitress knew English. But she was super friendly and even helped us make a group photo. This was the first time I had Colombian food and I felt the potions to be big! I liked the appetizers and chorizo. Everyone enjoyed their food and my friend said that their family often comes here! I minus a star because the music was extremely loud and we have to scream. It would also be really helpful if the waitress spoke English if I did not come with Spanish speaking friends.
The Tostones were an amazing choice, even the chicken rice is delicious and a really good portion. Her margaritas are also so refreshing.
Delicious food friendly staff. I highly recommend ordering the chicken with mushrooms. It is extremely tasty. The bandeja paisa is also a great meal and a classic. The decor is very typical Colombian and its lovely. Will be back for some more! :
