Best breakfast in mid-Michigan. Fresh breads and other bake goods. But their cookies are to die for!! Best cookies I've had. Freshly baked and huge. Prices are awesome for everything in there. They also serve lunch but have never had lunch there. Breakfast is so delicious View all feedback.
I enjoy their breakfast, while my husband is a fan of their lunch. If you come around 10:30, you can enjoy both for a brief period. They also offer bakery items for sale and some frozen meals to take away. I ordered the deluxe breakfast and he had the meatloaf.
While traveling north on Michigan 127, we spotted a restaurant sign and decided to stop in. We're glad we did! The food was delicious and our waitress, Phyllis, was friendly and efficient. We ordered the chicken pot pie with a side salad and a chicken salad sandwich, both of which were generously sized and beautifully presented. The best part? The food was incredible and far surpassed any average fast food fare. The restaurant even has a bakery with a great selection of cakes, pies, cookies, and cinnamon rolls. Thank you to the cooks, waitstaff, and management for providing such fantastic service and food. My stomach is grateful for paying attention to those highway signs!
Whenever we drive up to Alma to visit family, we always make a stop at this restaurant. The meals are always top-notch and we consistently give them a 5-star rating. On our recent visit, we decided to purchase some frozen meals to enjoy at home, and they did not disappoint. The Chicken Pot Pie and Cheesy Beef Enchiladas were absolutely delicious and truly out of this world!
Great friendly prompt and attentive service. Great hot fresh coffee. Interesting menu. I had a Philly steak sandwich. Piled high with shredded steak. One of the side selections was amish fluff sort of a cheesy vanilla custard with Graham Cracker crust. We also had a side of Mac n cheese. That was good but not great. That was a side for my husband's burger which was better than good. They do not sell fries. We bought homemade English muffin bread and big fabulous cookies to take with us. With tip it was $28. We will go again. It's about 5 minutes off the highway. Plenty of free parking. Located in the old fashioned downtown.
