Another nice visit to this Indian restaurant, the service here is excellent with good food. We had starters and mains which was enough for us. The lamb chops were great and so was the Oli’s special jhingry sizzler hut king prawns signature dish with big whole spices in packing a good punch. A good spot for dinner in Moorgate, the nicer looking restaurant on this parade! View all feedback.
What Mansi K doesn't like about Abokado:
We had really bad experience. I am an Indian i can say the food that they present as Indian food it’s actually not. And on top of that the staff was very rude First we decided what we want and it ended up unavailable we were forced to decide something else that doesn’t make sense. We arrived very close to closing time . The staff were accommodating and said we could have lunch. Food was excellent.
As à lone, female diner, I could not have asked for a better experience. The food was delicious and the staff were all so very attentive they really made my evening. Thank you all.
This is the second time we went to the restaurant. First time we had dishes in the a la carte menu, this time their express lunch. We were very happy both times with their food, unfortunately not so much second time with their service. This time I chose their 2 courses Express Lunch. Starter was Haryali Tikka main was Bhuna Lamb. My husband had a Thali with Lamb Tikka. We also had popadoms which were served with delicious condiments. Food was great both in terms of quality quantity, especially with the actual amount of protein served. Waiters were also attentive prompt. However, when we had just finished our mains, the manager boss who came to collect the plates was much less courteous than the others. We were shoved with a bill immediately without having asked for it, then came the card machine. I must say we were completely taken aback especially when the bill was dropped on the table from the tray together with the chocolate squares after I paid. We would have understood it if the restaurant was very busy. Unfortunately it wasn’t the case, the restaurant was not even 1 3 full. In hindsight it might just be that reason why the manager boss man was cross or anxious. But for whatever reason, this was not good customer service.
The entree dishes are way too sweet. Even the garlic Naan tasted like a pastry.. best indian food? I beg 2 differ..
Food was decent . But worst service by the staff from door to table . We are welcomed by the staff with something in their mouth chewing . Disgusting thing to experience . They were so arrogant while taking the order mainly the manager who took our order .If U are indians and likely looking for a good dining experience please avoid this place .
