This restaurant was not only delicious but also offered generous portions. The staff was fantastic; everyone worked harmoniously together. The manager even stopped by to check on us, and our waitress was fabulous. It was clear that the kitchen and cleaning staff collaborated effectively as well. The food was truly delightful. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone! View all feedback.
What Amanda Slater doesn't like about Acme Lowcountry Kitchen:
Was excited to try this place bc I heard the shrimp and grits were good. We tried the Whistlestop and Charleston shrimp and grits..pretty disappointing. There were some friendly staff that came around and asked us how we were doing but I think our waitress was too busy or something bc she got our daughter’s order wrong. Probably would not go back. This restaurant is great! Food was much faster than expected. Our server Mytch was friendly knowledgeable. Baked green tomatoes with Pimento cheese was really good, but the Shrimp Grits were amazing! It's worth the ride from Charleston.
Great brunch! I had their special which was maple bourbon sausage with goat cheese grits, eggs, and kale. The grits were the best I?ve ever had, they were ridiculously creamy with plenty of goat cheese and the sausage was delicious. My friend got the fish and grits which was also great and the collard greens were seasoned perfectly. For drinks we got the Grand Mimosa and a Bellini- both were appropriately strong and very good. They were a little more expensive than expected, as there are not prices on the back of the drink menu which was slightly annoying. I recommend eating outside or on the covered patio if possible, as there are some nice views.
Downtown dining quality, a block from the beach. Food was great across the board. Cocktails were tasty and well-named. Great beer selection too. Food came out quick and service was delightful.
An enjoyable experience from start to finish! This clean, modern restaurant had us hooked from the moment our wonderful waitress (Jennifer) came to get our drink order. A short walk from our hotel on the beach. Per a friend's recommendation, I got the Dozer (highly recommended, pictured first). The food was delicious, well seasoned, well prepared. The prices were very reasonable for what we ordered. The selection on the menu was broad, but not overwhelming. We will definitely be back!!
This use-to-be hidden gem is not a tourist trap, it's a local institution. Great food, great prices, friendly staff! Best breakfast on the island and they do a great job for lunch and dinner! Awesome seafood, gourmet burgers, chicken and waffles.... the Eggs Benedict is scrumptious! Definitely a must visit when in the area!
