Stumbled across this place when I was on a girls trip. The owners were very nice and spoke english. We all ordered a coffee drink and breakfast. Breakfast came out delicious (waffles, crepes, and pancakes between the 4 of us) and the coffee was good. Love the local feel of this space and the coziness. Make sure to swing by for coffee or a snack if you're in the area. View all feedback.
So nice, so attentive... Try the guacamole and the burritos. Totally recommended if you want some real Mexican flavour
First, the cafe is named after the owners' baby, Violeta (one of the cutest and happiest babies around). Painted with vibrant violet colors, the cafe has become one of our favorite neighborhood cafes for breakfast. The menu is varied and expansive, including fruit plates, burritos, bagels, omelettes, scrambled and fried egg dishes, egg white dishes (for the health conscious), sandwiches and smoothies. Just to name a few things We have had on various occasions omelettes with cheese, chorizo sausage, and onion (one of my favorites with a spicy sauce on the side), the vegetarian burrito, the scrambled egg with chorizo sausage burrito (these burritos are substantial in size), the fruit plate with yogurt and granola and smoothies. The coffee is also excellent and fresh. Everything that we have had so far has been very good. The cafe is quite small. There is a table in the kitchen area (we like to sit there and watch them cook on occasion), a couple of small tables with stools on the sidewalk, and a few more tables on the front porch of the house where the owners live beside the kitchen area. The family staff are very cordial and helpful. It is a simple, but quaint cafe. We often sit at a table on the front porch and watch the neighborhood begin its day. It offers an excellent value for the food served. And if you are lucky enough to get there when Violeta is in her stroller in the kitchen, she will certainly bring a smile to your face. Great way to start the day.
We were recommended here and it was perfect as we were staying in La Gloria. Terrific *REAL* coffee drinks (read proper espresso). Vegetarian and beef burritos were both excellent. Fresh veggies, cheese, tortillas... all made to order while you wait. Seriously delicious, big portions and helpful, friendly staff. Yum! We're trying to see if we can swing a visit back for crepes before we leave.
If you're not in a hurry stop by everything prepared fresh and home made excellent taste. Delicious baguettes omlettes and Muffins to die for! Friendly atmosphere.
