booked reservation by open table only to advise, they do not accept reservations on Friday/Saturday. So we waited for a table. fortunately, this was not too long. but the wait was for someone who should take ours or take longer than expected. we had both ramen. it was okay, no doubt we will return. What User doesn't like about Kabuki Japanese Irvine:
Good Japanese food. Lots of sushi options, ramen, and traditional Japanese favorites. Nothing particularly outstanding, but good. The server seemed otherwise occupied and did not check often. View all feedback.
We celebrated a birthday and the birthday boy took this place. it just happened as if oc restaurant week and they also had a special menu. we order the special menu items plus ala carte items. the server was excellent, presentation fantastic and eating amazing. delicious! can't wait to go back.
The portion is too small for the price we pay. The fish on the roll is not that fresh.
Was there for a business meal. The food and atmosphere are good, particularly since it is in a big mall, but nothing is great here. Lots of selection, and the sushi and ramen items are fine. Service for us on the patio was slow, like they hadn 't really planned for anyone to be there so they just came out when they could. It is a good value for what you get definitely a nice break from the typical chain places.
