Delta Diner - Iron River

I absolutely adore Delta Diner! This was my first time visiting during the COVID-19 pandemic, and we went over a holiday weekend. I was so thankful that we were able to make reservations!

The customer service at this restaurant was terrible. We drove an hour only to be turned away an hour before closing, despite there being multiple available tables. When we asked to sit outside, we were told they don't have outside seating and were waiting on other customers. When we questioned this, the lady replied rudely, suggesting that the waiting customers were probably sitting in their cars with the air conditioning on. We were directed to go get coffee and ice cream next door instead. Eventually, we were seated after pointing out the empty tables and using their restroom. The older lady hesitated to clean off a table for us nearly 30 minutes after our initial request. We've dined here before and felt that the food wasn't as good as the price would suggest. This will be our last visit.

The meatloaf was overcooked and had a burnt flavor, making it unpleasant to eat. The chef should have remade it instead of serving a mistake.

On a Sunday morning around 10:30 am, I went to the restaurant with my friend. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes before being seated. The staff was very attentive and gave us a great presentation of the menu. My husband ordered.

The food was excellent! Don't miss out on trying the Dutch baby dish. The staff were very friendly and the restaurant is set in a beautiful location.
