This is a small restorer, maybe 10-14 tables depending on how they are arranged. We were lucky and were able to make the same daily reservations for 4, they would suggest to make them at least a few days in advance. We ordered something different and all tasted everything (family fun). They were all excellent, but the venison stood on them.. wow. The staff was very professional and knowledgeable. My partner, Sue and I had a lovely lunch on Saturday. First time visit and we will return.
McBain was able to make us in the last minute after a mess with the reservation in another restaurant. Both the scallop starter and the venison main course were excellent. The sticky toffe pudding was the best I had in a restaurant for some time. The staff was attentive and very pleasant.
Absolutely wonderful meal in a lovely setting. Excellent service and very good value for money. Food was incredible best out of several restaurants we tried in Inverness. Definitely worth a visit!
