Just head south on CR315 for about 5.5 miles, then turn left onto CR310 and you'll find the restaurant on the left side. Jeannie, the owner, offers a menu filled with specialty sandwiches, burgers, wraps, BBQ sandwiches, soups, salads, and even a children's menu. They also serve refreshing drinks, beer, and wine. All meats are smoked using natural wood stoves, with their prime rib melt sandwich being a popular choice. I opted for the corned beef Reuben with a side of baked potatoes, which was delicious. Backwoods Smokehouse offers dine-in, takeout, and catering services. The interior of the restaurant has a Florida cracker style decor, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Gator fans will appreciate the 13-foot stuffed alligator placed in the middle of the restaurant, along with other unique antiques and decorations collected by Jeannie over the years. Overall, a visit to Backwoods Smokehouse is a unique and enjoyable dining experience.

My boyfriend and I stopped at this restaurant off SR20 and we were so happy we did. The meat was perfectly cooked and fell off the bone. The bread pudding was amazing. We had a great time exploring while we waited for our fast service. The owner was so friendly, it felt like we had known her for years. Thanks for a fantastic dinner!

I really don't like having to sort through the slimy mess to find edible parts, especially when I ask for lean meat. I once recommended this place to everyone, andunfortunately I can't anymore. I have been here 3 times since new ownership.
