Getaway Restaurant - Innisfil

We went there Saturday evening and had a 40 minute wait to get a seat in the Dining Room. We played a couple of slots until our timer went off. There is no Special Menu on Saturday, so I had their Meat Loaf, which I found quite filling. Coffee, no dessert. My Husband had their Toasted Club House with bottomless glass of Coke. Service was quick and attentive. We were good to go and play some more slots before heading back Home.

Liver was a little tough, potatoes were lukewarm, veggies cold. Hot Chicken was okay, ordered white bread and got brown bread. Friendly staff. First time to visit Georgian Downs and Getaway and did not have players card so we had to pay more.

Great food. Excellent value for the money. On busy nights the service can really be hit or miss. They should have more staff walking around - perhaps a bus boy/girl walking around clearing dishes and filling glasses with drinks. Staff is always very pleasant, just when they are busy they don't come around as often as they sound and you have to keep chasing them for refills or orders or the bill.

We were at the restaurant last night for Prime Rib Special. Includes salad, coffee or pop and small dessert. The Prime Rib wasn't anywhere near the medium rare I asked for... would hate to see well done!The main reason for my review is that they have tiered pricing. What is this you ask. So you don't have a players card you pay $29 or full price. The higher the card the less you pay. ( down to $13.99)Everyone pays by the colour of their card.This is discrimination!

We were up in Innisfil the other day dropping off the boat for winterizing and found the Getaway Restaurant not far from the shop. This is a nice little place that serves a good Classic Canadian breakfast which for me means back bacon and scrambled eggs. Getaway Restaurant calls this their Getaway Breakfast and you get two proteins with it so along with the back bacon, I got some country smoked ham and it was very good. I am looking forward to coming back to Innisfil and the Getaway Restaurant when I come pickup the boat in a couple of weeks. check it out for yourself.
