Tribes African Grill Steak House

This restaurant is one of the best in the Emperors Palace area! The quality of the food is outstanding, and the service is fast. Every dish was delicious! The staff is very welcoming, and their attentive service truly enhances the dining experience. You absolutely must try their meat—it’s fantastic! The salads are also incredible and delightful. Highly recommended!

This restaurant is very pleasant and welcoming. A friendly woman greeted us at the entrance and led us to our table. The waiter arrived shortly to take our drink orders and offered helpful suggestions for both drinks and food. He was a genuinely friendly guy. The service was excellent and prompt. Although the food took a bit longer to arrive, its quality more than compensated for the wait. The portions were generous and well-prepared, exactly as we had ordered. It did get a little noisy at times, but that was just due to the number of people dining there. I would recommend making a reservation in advance. This was by far the easiest online reservation experience I've had—no phone calls required. They even sent a confirmation email. As a result, we didn’t have to wait when we arrived. Tribes offers a true African experience with a variety of local dishes.

This restaurant is truly fantastic! The food is incredibly delicious; I had the best lamb shank I've ever tasted – it was out of this world. Our waiter was attentive and made sure we were well taken care of, and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be returning!

What can I say... Outstanding food and service.. always love visiting this beautiful restaurant when transiting through johannesburg.... Our waiter Freeman was a great host and had a laugh which was infectious... roll on the next time...

My friends and I had an excellent dining experience at Tribes. Their ribs were massive and great value for the taste and quality. I got the rib eye royale and it was very impressive. It was juicy and tender throughout and well-flavoured. The service was great and the atmosphere was lux and inviting. The restaurant looks great and we had a wonderful dinner with elevated meals. Definitely would recommend this place to all meat lovers.
