The macaroni was the best I've ever had and is always great! The 40-day ribeye was delicious, and the cocktails were fantastic as well! The only downside was that the bathroom is on the second floor, which isn't very convenient, and there were gnats everywhere. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Red, The Steakhouse Indianapolis:
our first visit in red. eating was good, but not as fantastic as the prices would justify. I would like to see that this place is successful as it is a great location, and they have done a nice work that is renovated to create a cool room. the challenge is that they compete with capital grille and other high-quality steak houses. they must be exceptional, and they have not met this brand. My steak was as good as any I have had at other top notch steak houses. The atmosphere was plain. The service was impeccable. According to my date, the chicken parmigiana was very good huge portion. The beans with thick cut bacon were out of this world, and maybe the best garlic fries I have ever had. Overall a very good pick but the prices are a bit high even for a top tier restaurant. Lastly, they offer prime vs non prime steaks. This made no sense to me. Either you offer terrific meat or you don't. I would not invite guests to my home and have second best quality steaks for them as an option. And on a $150 $200 tab? who is going to want to save $10, and risk appearing cheap in the process? Providing the option seems a bit tacky. I'm glad I went, but would probably not add it to my must return list.
The server was like a robot. I tried to make small talk and she gave me a look as of I was wrong for taking about a song that was playing. I have had better service at outback and olive garden witch the servers laugh and become a 30 min. family member. Made my family feel uncomfortable. Food was great though and yes very pricey.
Staff and food was excellent! We enjoyed almost having the place to ourselves. The porterhouse steak was fabulous!
My husband and I enjoyed our evening out at Reds. We kept hearing great things about the restaurant and thought we'd try for ourselves. We were not disappointed. My husband had the Bone in Ribeye...it's not on the menu, you have to request it and I had the Salmon. Both were delicious, and the cream corn was the perfect pairing. I'll.definitely go back.
