What HughDe doesn't like about The Royal:
We (3 adults and 1 child) visited the Royal for breakfast, our first ever visit as our previous breakfast venue is closed for renovation. We are definite converts, the place has a nice, clean, fresh feel about it and the staff were excellent. £5.95 for a full breakfast including orange juice and toast, cracking value and quality. The veggie breakfast was a real treat. This is now our new favourite weekend breakfast t... View all feedback.
All 4 of us throughly enjoyed the meal. We had the nachos with chilli and cheese for starters. That was delicious. We all chose a different item from the menu for the main course. The liver and onions was a very good potion so good we ended up getting it wrapped up to take home. The staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough for us. This is our second visit and we will be going again.
Went to the royal for lunch. The beef and Yorkshire pud was nice. The roast potatoes were overdue and the veg was hard. Told the waitress but no apology. Won't be going again
Callked in at lunch time , we had the lamb and veg samosa with sweet chilli sauce it was lovely. Would highly recommend. Also i had home made cheese and onion pie and hubby had sausage, bacon, liver with mash and peas,Both enjoyed very much.Abargain 2 courses for ten pounds each. Both landlord and waitress were very friendly and welcoming.
Delicious home cooked food, chips were yummy so was the cheese pie. Kids enjoyed their food too coming again without the kids and bringing the fella to try the lovely food. Customer service was on fire too.
We regularly come on a Sunday evening and have always enjoyed it tremendously. We like to vary things from time to time, but always find ourselves comparing other places to the Royal and invariably find them inferior. I can’t understand why the Royal isn’t massively busy every week.
