When I started seeing my friend, we went for a trip to hyer and found this charming picturesque restaurant on the street. we had salat and wild boar goulasch. eating was amazing, and the portions were huge! important, the atmosphere was so authentic, so welcoming and we felt so relaxed. the koch chez alex sat with us and spoke to us and even checked the wind forecast for my windsurfer friend. there was a group of locals on the table behind us who invited us to a glass of every champagne from their bottle. we laughed and exchanged with them and the cook and felt like we were part of a great family that had eaten at home. the whole experience was so filled. we agree that it was our best date.
Average food for average price ,but fantastic service and atmosphere.Alex chef of cuisine and servis in one person is very goog enterteiner.......can recommend for non french speaking people......but like everywhere menu is not in english but Alex can.......
Un chef un peu fou, une cuisine excellente, un cadre magnifique... en bref, Axel, les Ombrelles, un endroit incontournable.
Axel è un ristoratore atipico che può permettersi di rifiutare clienti-turisti per abbracciare i clienti-amici. D'obbligo prenotare. Avei è chef, maitre e patron dell' albergo restaurant. L' ingresso è nascosto dalla vegetazione, pochi tavoli all'aperto contendono lo spazio al giardino, luci romantiche lo illuminano. Aperitivo della casa con tapenade vengono offerti e accompagnano la tela ad olio che è il menù: pesce e carne, noi optiamo per insalata di polpo con frutta e verdure e cozze al gratin (fantastiche). Per play, orata e gamberi flambè, con contorno di riso speziato, patatine alle erbe (con curry?) e zucchine all'uva passa. Acqua e rosé della casa accompagnano. Come dolce gelato malaga, e snapps, limoncello,... quello che vuoi. Alla fine ho chiesto al patron come mai eravamo il solo tavolo occupato del locale: "ci sono problemi di elettricità, ho chiamato i clienti di cui avevo il numero, ma non avevo il vostro, questa sera il ristorante era aperto solo per voi". Questo è Les Ombrellas, questo è Axel, mon amis.
