what a pleasant surprise, the first time in Jillian’s and the eating, service and atmosphere was excellent. the beet salad was very good and the goatse kicked ball with him was drop good! the pork pliers with spargel ricotta was very tasty. the gentleman at the bar next to me was also a first timer and said his pasta dish was excellent with great taste. in any case worth a stop when they visit hutchinson or live near... What User doesn't like about Jillian's Italian Grill:
what a disappointment. Last night was what I was hoping was the third time a charm. that was not to be. yes, the atmosphere is great, the extensive wine card is beautiful. the reason we gave him a third chance. but again it was best to eat moderately. the calamari tasted as if he had been bleached. a trick for seafood was made when it gets old. both my men and my risotto were boiled over, and the spargel risotto had... This is THE must-visit place in Hutchinson for fine dining, happy hour, to meet with friends... celebrations! Great ambience, food drink, and super friendly service... The owner is lovely as well... always checking on the guests. Tonight, as per usual, I had an outstanding experience. The most luxurious, smooth glass of Pinot Noir, and the flatbread hummus was divine... nice, crispy flatbread and the most flavorful hummus I've ever eaten. Tonight I came for happy hour, so didn't have dinner, but the garlic medallions is a favorite when I do. Or ribeye... or filet. Of course, you can't go wrong with anything on the menu! LOVE this place!!!!!!
Great atmosphere, fantastic food, my waitress Erica was attentive and a treasure. Anyway, it'll be back. Only negative I can say that my crostini was cold and hard to chew when I ordered the Bruschetta appetizer. Still tasty, hard to chew. The beef contadino with roasted carrots, potatoes, tomatoes, mushrooms and Italian sausage was amazing and fresh.
Eating was fine, some of them seemed a little sharp. Wine selection was okay. I wish there was a dessert menu. Building was sweet. It was okay for my first time there.
We had a business dinner at this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service and food. I began with a perfect Old Fashioned at the bar, followed by a delicious Caesar salad and ribeye steak with baked potato. Everything was cooked perfectly and served promptly. I would not hesitate to come back again. In fact, I don't think I could ever visit this area without dining here at least once!
This was my first visit to this restaurant and I was quite impressed. It was the first time I had seen a wood-fired pizza oven. The service was a bit slow, but I am patient so it didn't bother me too much. It seemed like they were training a whole new staff, which probably contributed to the delay. However, the food was excellent and worth the wait. Everything tasted fresh, and the hummus was particularly amazing!
