While staying at Deerhurst, we decided to have Sunday Brunch at the Eclipse Dining Room. The food was amazing...we went up for seconds! Customer Service was terrific. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Eclipse Dining Room:
Our dinner reservation was for 8pm. By this time much of the buffet looked quite pick-over. We and another couple were at Deerhurst Resort for their "Taste of Summer" special promotion. We were all disappointed in the selection of food. Except for the salad there weren't any vegetables offered. The Prime Rib was grisly and dry. I'd have to say that this buffet was nothing special at all, especially for a five star re... View all feedback.
We felt like we were paying for leftovers. All the food at the buffet seemed to be leftovers from the previous day, and some of it was even cold.
The restaurant falls short in terms of value for the price. We stayed at the resort and found the location convenient. However, if we had driven there specifically for the dinner buffet, we would have been very disappointed. The buffet consisted of only a few salads, soup, pasta, bread, potato, vegetables, a quinoa dish, and a few meat options. There was also a small themed section with chips, salsa, and enchiladas. The food was average, not terrible but not outstanding either. The service was excellent, which was a plus, but with a price of $39.95 per person, even exceptional service wasn't enough to make us want to dine there again.
The menu at the restaurant was completely different from what we had seen on the website. This was a surprising change for us, as we typically visit on Saturdays and have always enjoyed the food immensely. Unfortunately, this time was not the same experience.
Wonderful food, great service, amazing view. Very friendly, warm atmosphere.
When I inquired about the restaurants on site I was told Eclipse was fine dining and I would chose from a menu. That evening, upon arrival we were told only a buffet was available. I don't like buffets. The vegetables were stone cold, the short ribs were tasteless and barely warm. The pie was served on a 3 tier rack, lemon merange on the top, so high you couldn't see as you were serving yourself unless you were over 6'. We are just over 5'. Would have made more sense to out the pumpkin pie up top. Would have gone into town for dinner had we know we only had a buffet to choose from. Very disappointing.
