Mecates Mexican Grill - Huntington

We noticed this restaurant from the highway and decided to stop in. It was a clean, comfortable place with good service. I personally enjoyed the tacos al pastor, although my son was not impressed with his burritos. I recommend trying the queso fundido as a starter!

The chile poblano was excellent! This was my first time dining here and I was very impressed with the food and service. I would give the food, service, and atmosphere all a perfect score of 5.

The fajita taco salad was drowning in liquid and the shell was undercooked, preventing it from being crispy even at the edges. The fajita portion was tasty, but unfortunately, the rest of the salad fell short. On a positive note, their queso is delicious!
