There are limited options at this restaurant, primarily consisting of pork sandwiches and salads. The pork is flavorful and delicious, as are the salads. However, the prices are on the higher side. The service is attentive and efficient. View all feedback.
What Andy K doesn't like about Forrest’s Feed Co.:
The smoked brisket sandwich cost $14. The bun was too thick and hard, and some of the brisket pieces were said to be like jerky by my wife. However, it was not too fatty. I personally enjoyed the meat but decided to skip the bun. The restaurant did not have air conditioning inside, and it was 96 degrees outside. There was a nice little picnic area outdoors. I personally enjoyed the meat but decided to skip the bun. The restaurant did not have air conditioning inside, and it was 96 degrees outside. There was a nice little picnic area outdoors. I was expecting pickle spears but only got a couple of sliced pickles. The brown sugar-based sauce was tasty. Unfortunately, the sodas from the cooler were not very cold. Overall, I was a bit disappointed and do not plan on returning.
I don't usually write reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience at this restaurant. I ordered two brisket sandwiches and was disappointed to find that both were filled with large amounts of fat, rather than meat. I don't mind a little fat in my food, but when I'm paying $14 for a sandwich, I expect a fair amount of meat. The mac and cheese was too soupy and lacked pasta, while the coleslaw was just average. Overall, I was not satisfied with my meal and will not be returning to this restaurant.
I highly recommend this fantastic BBQ restaurant. The portions are generous and the food is absolutely delicious. It reminds me of the BBQ we enjoyed in Nashville. The atmosphere is charming, with the option to eat at a few cozy tables indoors or picnic tables outside. We opted for the outdoor seating and our food was promptly delivered to us. We even took home some leftovers and they tasted just as amazing the next day. The restaurant offers four different BBQ sauces, all of which are excellent. Don't miss out on trying this place!
