Contribute FeedbackNo vegan options too high prices but good service and live music Bruno Mars tribute
We spent nearly $700 for a pizza dinner for four people on New Year's Eve in the pool area. It felt like a huge rip-off!
We ate at a restaurant, but were invited to an outdoor buffet on the way to the pool that looked unappetizing. There were many guests leaving due to food being on the floor, and when I pointed this out, it seemed like no one cared. I attended the gala in 2018, and it was exceptionally well-organized, featuring a traditional cultural theme with Puerto Rican Christmas dinners. The music at that event was fantastic, really capturing the Christmas spirit, with great acoustics and family-friendly bands—not just a rock concert. The planner for this year's event clearly missed the mark. It's not my fault they didn't anticipate the number of attendees for the pool event; it would have been nice to accommodate all customers' needs. It’s quite easy to plan a pool event, especially for tourists like us who were not looking for a “gala.”
The restaurant doesn't offer any vegan options, and the prices are quite high. However, the service was great, and there was a live performance by a Bruno Mars tribute band.
The music was excessively loud, with only rock bands playing, making it hard to enjoy the experience. After New Year’s, they had a salsa group, which was a better fit, but it was too little too late. We had dinner at a restaurant but were also invited to their outdoor buffet on the way to the pool, which was unappetizing. I noticed a lot of people slipping because there was food on the floor, and when I brought it up, nobody seemed to care. In 2018, I attended the Gala, and it was superbly organized, featuring a traditional Puerto Rican Christmas feast with wonderful live music that was family-friendly and festive—not the rock concert we experienced this time. Clearly, the event planners fell short this year. It’s unfortunate they didn’t attract the anticipated number of guests for the pool event and they should have made an effort to accommodate those who joined for that experience. Promoting a pool event is a simple task, especially for tourists like us who are looking for a casual experience rather than a formal gala.
