The Capital Grille - Houston

A favorite and this is my first time to have sub par food and service. It will be a bit before we go back.

Demarcus, our waiter, is a mater at customer service. The steaks are prepared to perfection making them very tender and tasty. We will return again soon.

We selected The Capital Grille to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. Omgoodness!! Honestly was the best wedding anniversary ever! Capital Grille bought out all the signatures on best ambiance, best wait staff (special thanks and shout out to our waitress, Elyssa),service, food, and the best wines selected for their “Generous Pour” of 7 wines. Upon sitting the first thing I noticed was hand written sentiments wishing us a happy 24th wedding anniversary. Very nice touch. Our first course of lamb chops was presented as complimentary of The Capital Grille. The chops were delicious and cooked at a perfect temperature. There was 4 in our party and I could have eaten all 4 lamb chops. The chops were succulent tender and delicious! We also opted in for the “Generous Pour”. If you haven’t experienced the 7 pours of delicious wines to pair with each course, you’re definitely missing out. They offer the generous pour once a year. We also decided to go with the restaurant week 3 course pre-fix menu. Our first course was the wedge salad with all the trimmings with “fat” bacon with the style of Cracklin. Never tasted a wedge salad so delicious and well presented with various petit cherry tomatoes and their special dressing. My husband and I selected the Chilean bass and chicken with orzo pasta. It wasn’t your typical soft orzo pasta and it had a delicious texture with a generous portion of grilled chicken with a sauce or gravy. In all honesty I think the Chilean bass was a better choice. My husband also agreed. The other option was a 10oz filet mignon. For desert we had the crème brûlée and cheese cake. Both deserts were superb! We enjoyed our dinner and ambiance so much we stayed until way after 10 pm and they close at 9:00 pm. No one rushed us or made us feel like we had to hurry and leave. We highly recommend The Capital Grille and will be spending our 25th anniversary at The Capital Grille as they know how to make special occasions feel special. #capitalgrillefan

We dined here for our anniversary. The food and the service was excellent. We both had steaks that were nicely prepared to our requested temperature and cooked to perfection. We ended with coffee and dessert which also delicious. Thank you Capital Grill for making our night special.

All staff was excellent, our server James whet above and beyond in providing recommendations which we greatly appreciated. We’ll definitely return.
