Cafe Piquet - Houston

Great place to take the whole family. Everyone was friendly and helpful. All employees were happy and they all helped each other, great teamwork. Remuneration for management to promote a large working environment. I had the Media Noche. That was my first time, so I didn't know what to expect. It was amazing, so many distinguishable aromas (meat, cheese, bread and toppings). The sandwich first looked a little small, but it filled me up! I'm a big guy and it really filled me well, so don't underestimate the size. I'll try other items again.

Average price: $10-$15 per person Vibe: is chill. Business and close friend dine in, Not first date material. The food was good. Wish it had more substance. It is delicious and I would recommend to anybody looking for authentic Cuban food.

I came, because it was highly recommended by a local. What I experienced was not what they described as their regular and frequent experience. Apparently, I didn 't get the regular treatment. A lot of side glances from the staff. (No I 'm not stage strange nor extreme) No check-up, no questions re: how things were, would I like anything else, would like something else to drink.... nothing. I.was.Ignored. The place was not busy, so there wasn 't an obvious reason for the situation. Had to ask for the check several times though. Strange. Weird experience. If I went back with the friend who recommended the place, and got better service, it would make my experience all the worst. Can only imagine the reasons.

The food was delicious, but I had better croquetas elsewhere. Her croquetas were a little cold and too muddy. But my Cuban sandwich and the roasted Yucca were delicious. My husband's court loved it. The service was good, but she forgot our Mojito.

Great service and food. I've been 3 times and have tried different menu items and all have been good. My guy only goes fir 1 menu item that he absolutely loves.
