came in while walking around downtown to grab some brunch, the food seemed like it would be good and it wasn’t very busy with it being a Saturday morning. our server made it very clear she absolutely did not want to be there… did not smile one time and the food was mediocre and flavorless. if you’re visiting from out of town, I would probably skip out on this place. Funny, had to go to Hot Springs to get the best crab cakes. Meat loaf was delicious, made fresh, never frozen. Everything on menu was great. Chef is amazing and very friendly. If you looked at old reviews, disregard. New cook and staff, also bar upstairs is great now Hotel is real piece of unique history. Don’t miss the Ohio club next door. This was about 1 month ago. Food was perfectly cooked, tasted fresh and delicious with a beautiful presentationStarted with Bourbon Shrimp. U 10 shrimp cooked to perfection with a slight snap when you bite into it, the way it should. Surrounded in a delicate sauce and crostini for dippingHusband ordered salmon, seared well with a crunchy skin and cooked to a perfect temperature .I had blackened blue salad with chicken. I suspect chicken was sous vide then grilled. It was moist cooked well and seasoned nicely.The service and greeting we received when we arrived was amazing and appreciatedThe decor is a bit bare and cold and in my opinion is not at the level of the exceptional food and service.
Wonderful dive bar with the best Deep Dish Pizza I've had outside of Gino's East in Chicago. Dog friendly to boot!
We thoroughly enjoyed the food at the Avenue, the ossobuco and meatballs were both delicious! Would strongly recommend. The rooftop bar (separate but part of same hotel) had neat views but was cold. Will be a great place to visit in warmer
The best salmon I've ever eaten. Staff was super kind and accommodating. I will definitely have to go back for more if that salmon.
