I visited a birthday party here last night and I have to say that we were a little nervous when we arrived and there were only 2 girls to take care of us. But we were amazed, Bridget and Breanna were phenomenal. Both are the sweetest hardworking girls I've ever seen. I called her the dynamic duo. They were our bartenders and our servers. Nobody ever wanted anything. The food came fast and was great. I had written the DeSoto Club a few years ago and would probably never have jumped back in there, I would not have invited to this party, but I am happy to come back to see these sweet girls and try some other items from their menu.
De Soto Women's Club held their monthly meeting at DeSoto today and Chef Brian did an outstanding job! The ladies are very happy to have our monthly meetings and luncheon here this year! The staff worked hard to provide us with a great meal and Brian personally urged us to be patient and work together as we work through the COVID restrictions. We were urged to wear plastic gloves as we picked up food. The desserts were displayed in a mouth watering manner, and I heard many POSITIVE comments!! Kudos to the staff. Menus were offered for us to look at and the consensus was that entrees were priced very reasonably! Villagers, if you want restaurants to survive in the Village, patronize them and try to be positive as we all work together to better the Village!
This review is based on a visit for a dinner seminar. The food we had tonight was pretty good. The service in the seminar room was not good (dirty plates left on the table, water glasses not refilled) but that probably doesn't translate to the main dining room. It's a nice venue.
We had eaten their Friday with friends from CA.
