What stephranson doesn't like about The Six Bells:
Poor to say the least... bar staff rude and couldn't be bothered to even pretend to be interested in clients! Food ****.... got sent back, staff had major attitude about this.... fish and chips.... 9 chips!!!!! 9!!! Sorry but come on! 9!!!! Was shocking, spoke to staff who had massive chip on shoulder!!!!! Hahaha.... more chips on staff shoulders than on plates... won't bother returning View all feedback.
Good beer. had the southern fried chickenburger. the best burger I've had for a long time. the curry looks and smells like the dead next on my list.
They were so often here, great eating and excellent staff. had everything on the menu and always good. I wish my local was as good as this one.

Stopped into The Six Bells today whilst meeting friends at the pub next door. Several of us decided to have roast dinners, which were very well put together. I liked that there was extra gravy in a nice big gravy boat. Decent roast spuds, Good variety of traditional vegetables, I just wish I had known about the cauliflower cheese, other of my friends who had arrived later than us ordered it and it looked AMAZING but by then I was stuffed, as my roast pork had been a generously portioned plateful. And the post dinner coffee was very good too. Friendly efficient staff. Clean and well decorated. A perfect civilised Sunday lunch.
Great family evening at the six bells. Hosting was excellent and the food came pretty quick and most altogether considering there was 18 of us in total. The food tasted good and the portions were relatively filling having a starter and a main course meal. The pub was winter cosy with a live fire and well staffed, who were quick to offer help and serve us for drinks at the bar. Great mixture of ages too and prices of food and drinks are reasonable.
