Sunday lunch perfectly roast beef with many sweets, a starter of the chicken liver bruschetta was possibly the best chicken liver dish I've ever eaten. delicious bakewell pudding for dessert. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Plough Inn:
the meal was disappointing and quite expensive. the divided terrine was not very tasty and served with uninterested salads and toast. '£8 for a mediocre dessert in a pub does not appear well. the most important courses were better with pink lamb, but the fish was served without strong next-court. View all feedback.
I hear that those who visit the peaks, this is the pub to see. eating is amazing and it is always packed so if they don't book early they might.
Lunch instead of a long walk. we had heard that this was a good place to eat and that was it. we wanted to make a long walk, but it was cold, very cold and we.
Beautiful place to stay, handy for chatsworth, haddon hall, matlock and bakewell. friendly staff, nice accommodation and eating.
Eating service was excellent, celebrated birthday meal yesterday, booked a table in the bar area, as we have a 2yr old cookerpoo dog that comes with us, they sit quietly under the table. very nice staff when we plan a celebration, then it is on 'the plough'
Just popped in for a Boxing Day **** Mary after a brisk early morning winter walk. Fire raging, tables laid for dinner and friendly staff. Children welcome too.
