I made an incredible find at this restaurant in Hood River. I was pleasantly surprised by the fantastic ambiance and delicious food. The spacious and elegant building, the beautiful decorations, the well-set tables, and even the spotless bathroom all made for a welcoming experience. What User doesn't like about Ixtapa Mexican:
The food arrived promptly, but the flavor was mediocre at best. Despite there being multiple servers on staff, our service was slow due to being seated in the same section as a large group of 14. We had specifically requested to be seated in a less crowded area.

This place is so great, the staff is so welcoming and friendly, the margaritas are delicious. My only note is that I wish they had more vegetarian options. Tofu or soyrizo would be a great addition to the menu. We stopped in on mother's day, and they went above and beyond to make all us mamas feel special.
My husband and I have been here twice now. Service was so nice, between the seating, getting our drinks and our waitress. So nice all around. Now the food, both times I loved our meals. I highly recommend.

This place is great. fantastic environment, great bar with sport oh yes and amazing food. I recommend her 32oz house margarita? by carlos, the best in the game!
Was passing through on vacation and after leaving another restaurant due to limited choices food truck was delayed) we were hungry. Everything was perfect including Luis who made sure we had what we needed. I have food allergies and he accommodated me without any hassle at all. Thank you Luis for a great start to my anniversary trip!!!
