Contribute FeedbackRoy's offers a well-oiled machine of a dining experience with efficient and pleasant staff. The food is consistently good, although the ambiance can be a bit loud. Some diners found the menu lacking in options and flavor, preferring other options in the Roy's collection. However, others enjoyed the food offerings, with standout dishes such as butterfish and macadamia crusted mahimahi. The service was praised by many reviewers, with some noting exceptional service during special occasions like anniversaries and honeymoons. While there were some complaints about long wait times and subpar dishes, overall Roy's seems to offer an excellent dining experience with a chic atmosphere and delicious food options.
This is my second time to Roy’s and it was for our honeymoon. Sasha, our server, was amazing. The food was delicious and the ambience was beautiful. The prices are on the higher side, but absolutely worth it. Very recommended if you want a chic dinner in Honolulu, especially for a special occasion.
We had a great dinner and it was the perfect meal to finish our trip! We also appreciate the care to keep the food allergies of our daughter
Overall very good! The food was good, but we felt very fast from our server. We wanted to take time, but we ordered our duck after the third time he asked if we were ready. He even asked us if we wanted Dessert as soon as they served the kidnapper!
Everything was really good. I had the swordfish that was cooked to perfection. My partner had the short ribs. I highly recommend them; they were sooo tender that they fell apart and the engraving was delicious. I don't enjoy the zucchini crisis, but the mine son soups were very good. Overall, I would recommend.
Food was very good, just not exceptional considering the total bill for two people was $200 after tip, and that was without drinks. My wife and I got the pre-fixed three course option. Crusted swordfish was moist and pleasant with a mild creamy sauce. Short rib was tasty but a bit more stringy and drier than I prefer, more like chewy brisket than melt-in-your-mouth ribs. Highlight was the chocolate soufflé desert, which was not included as a pre-fixed option and cost an extra $8 dollars per person. We probably could have split it. Although it looks small, it is extremely rich.
