The first Mexican restaurant that doesn't make their tamales with a super thick cornmeal and very little meat. I was hesitant to order the tamales because of other restaurants but I was pleaded ..finally!! Lots if meat through the whole thing and thin amount of the cornmeal. Everything we ordered was great. Great place for friends and family. You just have to go to Holden, MO, which is well worth it! We will be back! View all feedback.
What Beth Mag doesn't like about Andale Amigo Holden, Mo:
I ordered to go and all our food was cold. The enchiladas were different sizes. My husbands were very small and ours for larger. The chips were cold and the orders were wrong. I called the manager and let her know but I will also let you know that none of the same people were in there that I usually see. So it might’ve been their day off and that’s why. View all feedback.
We love their carne asada!! Delicious food and wonderful customer service!
The service was a little slow at first but they got it together. The servers were very friendly. The food was very good and reasonably priced.

Unfortunately, it met our expectations, which were quite low. Although we have lived in the city limits for several years, we quit going there 4-5 years ago because of continual bad experiences, including slow service, mediocre food quality including 2 occurances of stomach issues in the night by one family member and just a general opinion that going to the restaurant in Pittsville was a better overall experience. Admittedly, we did use to frequent that restaurant the one in Pittsville , very frequently in the past as we lived on 80 acres just 2 miles NE of there for years before moving intown. Last week, Kory and I decided to run get something to eat one evening. We had recently been to the Chinese restaurant, 2nd Street Pizza, Strate 's and 58 Drive-in, and decided to give Andale a try again. It was early in the evening and there were 2 or 3 tables already seated. No one was in front to greet us for a couple minutes, then we were greeted and seated, we were asked what we would like to drink. About 5 min later, the waitress brought our drinks and dropped off menus. Both of us had nearly finished our drinks before the waitress returned to take our order and we requested refills on our drinks when we ordered our food. About 10 minutes later, she returned with our food orders and we reminded her about the drink refills, which she brought right back. We never saw the waitress again . We each finished most of our meals, but each of us had some leftovers that we would have liked to have taken home in a to go box . After sitting there another 10 min or so, we finally got up and walked to the front to pay although we had never received the check nor any opportunity to get a to go box. . The food was OK, nothing exceptional, but nothing wrong with it either. I don 't know if they were way understaffed for some reason or not. But we definitely didn 't feel like they valued our business, nor particularly cared about our level of satisfaction. I doubt we will return soon. And yes, I did leave a tip on the table for 25% of what I estimated our total bill to be. Since we had not received a ticket before we left the table.
Great Mexican food. The Margarita is highly recommended.
